Coastline College's Veterans Resource Center recently caught the attention of U.S. Congresswoman Michelle Steel who has been serving as the U.S. representative for California's 48th congressional district since 2021. A member of the Republican Party, she concurrently serves as a member of House Minority Whip for the 117th Congress and spent some quality time on May 2nd with veteran students who call the Coastline center home.

The students and the Veterans Resource Center (VRC) Director, Tom Boscamp, a veteran himself, could not say enough good things about the myriad of services the center provides. In addition to assisting them with their VA education benefits, the center also provides transition support and connection to local community veteran resources. The Veterans Resource Center provides Coastline students and community Veterans with an informative and supportive environment so that they may explore the comprehensive array of resources available to them, including personal assistance, educational guidance, and professional resource support services.

Coastline College of Orange County, CA, President Vince Rodriguez Ed.D. has been awarded as one of Fountain Valley's 15 Finest Leaders of 2022. The Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce recognized Dr. Rodriguez as one of their emerging leaders during a special ceremony at their 2022 Business & Leadership Awards dinner, last night, March 30, 2022, at Founder’s Village. Coastline College's Katie Stubblefield has been approved for an Artist Fellowship as part of the Arts Council for Long Beach’s Annual Grant awards to support her art practice. Katie is among 32 grantees totaling $145,000 that were selected to receive Annual Grants funding this fiscal year 2022. The Annual Grants program is generously supported through the City of Long Beach’s allocation for the arts, Percent for Arts Program, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
